  • Responsible for managing & delivering Sales targets, national demand plan and forcasting, preparing budgets and individual &team targets
  • Active member of Zambia leadership team and support the country leadership team with day-to-day operations but also assist in shaping long term strategy of business
  • Oversee, manage & develop the sales department to support sales delivery and business growth
  • Maintain and build key strategic national relationships with key customers and industry influencers in support of business delivery
  • Set-up, implement and manage annual sales targets in support of product supply and play active part in SOP meetings
  • Deliver annual sales plan for each of your sales regions incl targets and resource requirements
  • Agree, communicate and manage team’s sales incentive (bonus) plans with regular feedback and coaching to ensure motivated team
  • Continuously follow sales progress compared to phased budget, recommend corrective actions in case of gap to plan
  • In case new opportunity appears suggest actions to grab it
  • Build customer database ( CRM) in order to enable the team better focus and target customers with tailored offers while increasing Share of wallet with them
  • Continuously monitor and report competitors action and moves
  • Work in close collaboration with marketing, technical and commercial operations to delivery campaigns, technical field demos and ensure best-in-class customer operations
  • Work closely with finance to make sure that collection is done in time and late payments are minimized
  • Support the entire Sales team with training, mentorship & marketing activities and building talent pipeline for the future
  • Identify new potential products and integrated solutions involving the technical team and other stakeholders
  • Provide timely sales reports to the Head of Zambia and other indirect stakeholders
  • Support Zambia management team to deliver compliant & growth in business e.g. 5 yr market reviews, GTM reviews, leading by example act as role-model


  • Bachelors degree in Agriculture or business related course
  • Hold critical internal & external sales expertise
  • Understanding of the role / value of Sales information in a commercial environment
  • Product stewardship experience
  • Relationship Management; Business Planning or equivalent
  • Critical experience
  • Five (5) years’ experience in sales preferably in the Agricultural sector
  • Experience selling Maize Seed and Crop Protection added benefit
  • Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities
  • Strong Communication, Interpersonal & Influencing Skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent understanding of customer needs and importance of distinctive value proposition
