About the Company
Rent‐to‐Own (RTO) is a social enterprise working to increase the prosperity of entrepreneurs in rural Zambia by providing productive assets. The company has an exciting new model to offer business equipment on payment terms that are tailored to rural entrepreneurs and farmers. Rent to Own is an international company, with partners and staff from Zambia, Canada, the Netherlands and the USA. Founded in 2010, the company has worked with over 1,500 customers and is in the Middle of a period of rapid growth, doubling our sales year on year.
Rent to Own is hiring Field Officers to work with our rural farmer and Shopkeeper clients. We aim to help grow their businesses by offering productive assets such as water pumps, hammer mills and gensets.
As the primary point of contact for each client, the Field Officer’s aim is to ensure each client is able to successfully complete his or her contract with Rent to Own.
Field Officers conduct visits to clients to understand and evaluate their farm or business, and to offer support in the form of technical training on equipment and sharing of best business practices.
We are seeking candidates who have past experience in the following roles:
Agricultural company agents or buyers products)
Experience with the following is an asset:
Farmer training / mobilization
Selling or delivering products in rural areas (seeds, inputs, or other
Experience riding a motorbike
Experience using a tablet or computer
Experience with engines or other farming Equipment.
